Visited on a Sunday afternoon and ordered the Bollywood Bowl, Paneer Tikka Masala, and a side of fries and I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful everything was. Megan was helpful and kind. Thank you for the exceptional service. Let’s start with the fries: they were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside — that ideal texture balance that’s hard to find. I also loved their unique shape, which gave them an extra crunch and helped the seasoning cling to every bite. The light dusting of spices added just enough flavor to make them irresistible without being overpowering. Now, onto the main dish — the Bollywood Bowl with Paneer Tikka Masala. Absolutely delightful. The flavors were bold yet balanced, and the combination of paneer and chickpeas was phenomenal. I’m usually not a fan of plain white rice, but this rice was exceptional — fluffy, flavorful, and topped with a creamy white sauce that tied everything together perfectly. My only small wish? A few more chickpeas would’ve made it even better. The restaurant itself is cozy — small in size but warm and inviting, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy your meal. Overall, I was really impressed by the food, service, and presentation. I highly recommend this spot and look forward to visiting again the next time I’m in St. Pete.

One of the most popular dishes is their Twisted Tikka Masala, which puts a unique spin on the classic chicken tikka masala. Vegetarians aren’t left out either. The Paneer Tikka Nachos are a standout, bringing together crispy nachos, creamy paneer, and a medley of tangy Indian chutneys. The cool, fresh cucumber yogurt salsa complements the spicy, grilled paneer in a way that’s both satisfying and refreshing. It’s perfect for sharing with friends or enjoying as a main dish.

“A Curry Crusade You Didn’t Know You Needed” Twisted Indian isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a flavor rollercoaster that grabs your taste buds, spins them around, and yells “Namaste, baby!” before dropping you into a bowl of tikka masala glory. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with the aroma of spices so good, I briefly considered signing a lease inside. I ordered the butter chicken, and let’s just say my soul ascended halfway to Mumbai. The naan? Softer than my pillow. The samosas? Crispy triangles of happiness that made me question every snack I’ve ever loved. The staff somehow manage to be both cool and efficient — like if customer service had a Netflix series. They actually look like they enjoy being there, which in 2025 is rarer than an unbroken phone charger. And shoutout to whoever designed the spice levels — “medium” is perfect for people who want to feel alive without seeing visions of Ganesh. If you’re walking around downtown St. Pete wondering whether to grab sushi, tacos, or pizza… stop. Get twisted. You’ll walk out smelling faintly of cumin and victory. #BiteMeStPete #TwistedUpInFlavor #HolyNaan
Excellent all around! We walked in as a group of 7 with 1 picky eater, we all happy with our choices! 730pm on a Wednesday and food orders were flying out the door! Portions were excellent I just finished my left overs for my lunch, still as great! Forgot the ladies name but she was excellent at multitasking our large order and handing out to go orders without anyone feeling neglected! Also offered info regarding food and drinks ans the huge bag of rice I wanted to take home! To anyone giving less than a 5 star (maybe 4 might be the other choice. But anything less is of course your opinion but sometimes you need to take a step back and ask is it just me? Maybe I should give it another try. Go when your in a better mood.
Came to try this spot for the first time today and had such a delightful experience! The ladies working, actually everyone working, was SO kind! My friend and I told them it was our first time and they helped guide us through the menu (and we’re indecisive so they were very, very helpful!) I’m vegan so I got the setain & cauliflower tacos, we split some fries and she got one of the chicken bowls, we were both blown away! The options for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters were 10 out of 10! I can’t wait to come back and try the burrito, plus the vibes were great inside! Such a gem of a spot!
My wife and I were craving Indian and heard good things about this place. We absolutely loved it! They do a more modern take on Indian with their "bollywood bowls" and other iterations of traditional Indian dishes like a currito. The goat curry was by far my favorite. Chicken was fantastic as well though. The naan bread was perfectly baked as well and very tasty with a few options for flavors. Highly recommend for a quick meal that scratches that Indian food itch
Good food, definitely a modern take on Indian food and wish they had more options closer to Indian cultured food instead of tiki Masala but was kinda expected for the twist. Liked the variance and take on the bowl. Would do take out next time since seating is limited.
Different fusion of Indian food on American soil. The taste was lovely - Didn't expect it will taste this much good - All the items were exceptionally made. Nice mix of Indian bases. Staff were very sweet and helpful. Environment was lovely too and able to see different set of people coming and tasting the food. Really recommend this place when you are around.
So delicious! We always grab some take-out when we are passing through St.Pete and bring it home. Even after the 30 min drive it’s so good! The Tofu bowl is a huge hit even with our picky 1&3 year olds. The sidewinder chat fries are a must, and typically are eaten before we make it back home! Great vegan options, clearly labeled!
